"Aurora
I"
Aurora
Borealis
Late
summer/late 1970s from Turnagain Arm, Alaska 2 minute time
exposure -- 55mm f/2 on Kodak ASA 400 color negative film.
Both this and "Aurora II" were
exposed off a standard tripod in a deserted campground in
Alaska while a grizzly bear fished (at night, of course) in
a nearby stream (we could hear him splashing, growling, etc.)
This sort of photography can obviously have non-optical challenges!
